We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. We are looking for somebody with commitment, energy and drive to work closely with staff and to provide positive learning experiences for all our pupils.

This post is suitable for experienced candidayes or those new to the role. The Teaching Assistant position will complement the work of the Class Teacher, by taking responsibility for the delivery of agreed curriculum areas and providing intervention support to pupils too. This role will involve the planning, preparation and delivery of small group sessions.

We expect the successful candidate to:

  • Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils.
  • Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and inspire and motivate our children;
  • Have excellent numeracy/literacy skills equivalent in English and Maths, and I.C.T. skills sufficient to advance pupils’ learning.
  • Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with high expectations.
  • Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience.
  • Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written.
  • Work well as part of a team;
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider school life including cover for breakfast club and lunchtimes supervision as required.

We are seeking to appoint a SENCO for a part time post  (FTE 0.2) from September 1st 2017.

We are a small village school with friendly and hardworking staff who are dedicated to safeguarding all the children in our care including a small number of children with SEN. The successful candidate must either hold the SENCO qualification or be
prepared to undertake the course and will have had experience of working with
Special Educational Needs pupils in a mainstream or SEN school.  The SENCO post at Kehelland involves  assessment, planning and meeting parents in addition to
supporting and working alongside the head teacher and staff.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to working
effectively as part of a well established team.

St Erth School

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher for our Y3/4 class from
30 October 2017. The role will be 0.5 fte on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings. This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave.

A subject specialism is welcome but is less essential than the ability to be extremely well organised and an effective member of a job-share partnership as well as the wider school team, contributing to the busy life of this friendly, small village school.

The successful candidate will be employed in lower KS2. The applicant must:

  • have a good knowledge of the KS2 Primary Curriculum;
  • have a track record of excellence in their classroom practice;
  • be confident in working with children with SEN;
  • be a creative and dynamic teacher who is able to motivate and inspire young children;
  • have energy, flexibility and drive;
  • have high expectations for themselves and their pupils.

We are a THRIVE School and an understanding of this ethos and/or a qualification is beneficial.
